Welcome to Ghana Review
Welcome to The Republic of Ghana located in the west of Africa and boasting some of the most stunning landscapes in Africa.
Ghana has numerous nation parks and reserves which provide a home for native wildlife, flora and fauna. In the north of Ghana is the Mole National Park home to a variety of large animals, butterflies and birds located in the large forests.
In the central region is Kakum National Park which provides the many tourists with nature trails and canopy walks. There are miles of beaches unspoilt by humans and rivers, lakes and waterfalls making it a nature lovers perfect place.
Ghana is boarderd by the Ivory Coast to the west, Barkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east and Gulf of Guniea to the South. Ghana was the first African country to achieve independence from the United Kingdom in 1957.
The country was named after the ancient Empire of Ghana whos kindom reached deep into west Africa. Ghana is till part of the UK Commomwelth and is also a member of the African Union and the United Nations.
Ghana's ethnic grous are extremely diverse making it one of the richest cultural environments in Africa with a history of music, crafts and dancing.
The Ashanti region is the man region and is home to the Ashanti trib. Ghana's capital city is Accra and is locaed in the tinyest area of Ghana on the coast of Guinea. The city is vibrant and has excellent food, accommodation and nightlife.

For those that are more economical a visit to the beach offers a different opportunity to enjoy the miles of the coastline.
It is said that the beaches of Ghana are known for their beauty as well as their cleanliness. Turtle nesting and breeding, bird watching and people watching are just a few of the things that drawn visitors to one of the many beaches in Ghana. Many of the beaches are within walking distances to villages in the regions.
~Accra, Ghana’s capital city is home to several beaches and resorts.
~Future Beach is considered one of the quietest and pristine beaches in Ghana. If you are looking for a quiet less populated spot Buture beach would be a great place to spend some quiet time.
~Labadi Pleasure Beach offers sea front view from the public beach. The beach has changing facilities and a shower. It is popular therefore a little more crowded than other beaches. Perfect if you are looking for the excitement of many of the activities that happen on the beach.
~Cocoloco Beach is east of Accra about an hour. This beach offers a bird sanctuary and is home to the many sea turtles that live in the Atlantic Ocean. This is a favorite for those looking for the beach experience as well as the views of the natural habitat for wildlife. There is also a hotel resort at the same location.
~Ada Beach is in a costal town just east of Accra. This beach offers swimming skiing and fishing. It’s a popular hotspot.
~Alaska Beach is located on the shore of the Gulf and the Atlantic. It’s a quiet beach that also offers camping facilities. Simple amenities with showers and toilets are a paradise for campers and backpackers.
